Echidnopsis sp.
Echidnopsis sp.

This flower bears a resemblance to Echidnopsis repens and Echidnopsis sharpei, yet it lacks the distinctive yellow coloring at the petal tips. Additionally, the petals are devoid of fine hairs along their edges. Currently, it most closely resembles Echidnopsis bihendulensis, although the absence of a white area on the corolla makes it challenging to confirm they are the same species. Moving beyond the scientific classification, I’d like to express my personal appreciation for this flower. It is exquisitely delicate and strikingly beautiful, boasting a deep, dark purple hue. Under illumination, the petals exhibit a velvet-like texture, beautifully contrasting with the yellow corolla. I find it utterly captivating.
